I gave notice today.

I told the supervisor that I am flexible on dates, so Monday we will sit down and decide how much time they want me to spend training my replacements. I'm not working past Thanksgiving. I got a package from nova617! Among other treasures, I now have 1 kg of miso. Has anyone ever cooked with non dehydrated miso? Should I refrigerate it after opening? I also have a sheet of green tea scented toilet paper because I asked for proof that such an odd thing exists.

JOB!!!!
yay!!!

The state offered me the job! Woo! I will be an unemployment insurance analyst. I shall be answering phones, helping people fill out the online forms and responding to questions. The start date is Jan 2.

I get an in-person interview with the state! Woo! I am trying not to get my hopes up too much, but still, interview! (they must be desperate)

And, Ted just came by to see if I applied to work here permanently. He is disappointed that I am leaving :D

Working here is nice. The staff seems friendly. The office does not get a lot of traffic. The library is close by (but closed on Mondays - sad.) And I met Kelli on the bus into downtown today ( Read more... )
