About a year and a half ago, a close friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer. She spent most of last year being treated, and since then she's been in remission. Great, right? Passed my Intermediate Silver exam at ballroom today! Good score, but I was crazily tense through all the smooths. Completely rocked out in the triple swing, which is awesome. So now I wonder if I'm going to start learning the Final Silver steps in the last two months my instructor is still around, or if she's going to take me off on a different ( Read more... ) -

In the elevator foyer at work, there is a big LCD displaying what is essentially a Powerpoint presentation of ads for various events and initiatives at work. I have done as the Village People suggested and gone west. Sadly, I cannot confirm as to whether life is peaceful here, but the weather's nice ... a fair amount of the time.
