Ganked from redbrunja

Give me a topic and I will meta about it for at least 100 words. Any topic. Any fandom. (If you pick a fandom I don't actually know, no promises on how lucid or on-topic I will be.)

Go ahead and ask me anything. My views on politics, the weather, fandom, literature, hamsters...anything.

*grins* I know, right? I spent an inordinate amount of time looking for a new one on the LJ website...I was happy I found this, as I was looking for something more colorful this time around. Glad you like it!

*snorts* Hehheh...Swedish Fish...I'm sure I'll be able to come up with SOMETHING about them (like how yummilicious they are? Or how every time I eat them it gets me thinking about vacationing in Sweden someday?)

Swedish Fish. Are bright, colorful, and I like them better than most candies. Also, they're just kinda funny looking, so not only is it a mini-snack, but also a form of entertainment. In addition to that, since I'm odd, whenever I eat a candy or food bearing the name of the country in which it developed, I start fantasizing about traveling in that country. *shrugs* Keeps me entertained.

OH! And here's another reason I'd eat Swedish Fish over other candies: no gelatin. One of the biggest concerns with Gummi Bears and Worms is the potential that they may contain prions that cause Mad Cow Disease. As this is one of my minor paranoias, Swedish Fish are a safer alternative.

:) I don't really know if that qualifies as a meta...but that's over 100 words on the various merits of a candy.

Do you think Michael (of Burn Notice) would be happy if he got his old life back?

What do you think of Cara? Richard/Kahlan?

If you could make one religion vanish from the face of the earth, what would it be?

Hamsters.

After having to truly rely on the few resources at his disposal just for survival, I think the protocols of government life would grate against him. Particularly against the sense of freedom he has developed to decide HOW to save lives. In Miami, there are no bureaucrats that he has to take orders from. Personally, I think he would become disillusioned pretty quickly.

You know, I always through he would be disillusioned with government work - but I always imagined it as growing out of his unhappiness at not being able to work with Sam and Fi anymore, not the innate nature of working for Uncle Sam.

They were both broken as children and forced to build emotional scar tissue. As a result, they focus on their strength for human interaction instead of anything meaningful. To attain character growth, they both had to return to their past and face the things that destroyed them. Cara did this a little more successfully than Starbuck.Well said. I really like Cara, but part of me is very sorry that Denna had to leave for her to show up. And ( ... )

Would you say that you're more of a liberal Democrat, a conservative Republican, or more moderate something? What are the deciding factors?

Potential argument starter has the potential to start arguments. XD

I'm extremely socially liberal, mostly because I don't see any validity to making legislature and control based on a scripture that NOT EVERYONE BELIEVES IN. That's fine if you do, but people start to grind my nerves when they try to control everyone else with it. I support things like gay marriage, marijuana reform, and a woman's right to abortion (at very fucking least when her life is in danger or she doesn't have a chance of bringing a healthy baby to term ( ... )

What do you think of snow? *settles down in chair* XDD

A better question- fandom, with the issues of using other peoples characters, vs. using real people.

I talked to someone who shipped the people of MCR a few years ago (but the issue was quite interesting, it's been in the back of my mind) and she was really against using other peoples characters, as in books/tv shows/w/e. However, i thought the idea of using real people, who could read it, and what ever people write about them - horrifying; as if it was a form of stalking. xD;;

...tangent over, what do you think? xD
