Day 1 - Flight to India
Arrived at the airport too early to check in so I had a large glass of Viognier and a snack at the Cafe Rouge. By the time I returned there was a ginormous queue, but it went down quickly and I was airside by about 5pm. Open University SXR205 Chemistry Summer School part 1

OU gets greedy
I've just heard that the Open University will, from next year, be charging £5000 per year pro rata. Currently I'm paying the equivalent of about £1400 per year. How can they *possibly* justify such a hike? The argument seems to run: we'll still be cheaper than most other universities. Rock the Moor 2011
Yesterday was my first time at the annual charity Rock the Moor festival at Cookham, near Maidenhead. What a fabulous event!
I rolled up around 2pm in time to catch tribute band Stereosonics and Who Are You, followed by local bands The Quotes (most excellent, I might even buy their CD) and The Mean Red Spiders (tight but predictable covers band ( Read more... ) -
