I took my TARDIS keyring (the really cool 3D one that I will never attach to my keys cos I'd hate for it to get damaged) to Adam's to wave around on the end of its chain when the theme music played. Like the one on the screen. And I snaffled some fridge magnets from SFX when I was stripping magazines at work the other week, so I took the Ten and Martha magnet to ... um, to show them themselves on the telly... *ahem*
Rassilon's underpants, I'm so sad :o)

I even brought a straw... glitterfairy25 April 1 2007, 13:07:02 UTC
I can't remember any mention of 'Mr Saxon', and I thought the "not anymore" brother thing was about the Time War...

It was good, and I'm glad Martha isn't Rose mk II but it left me a bit confused. Why was the Doctor in the hospital in the first place? Why did the episode turn so very Eastenders-y with the whole dsyfunctional family having a fair bit of viewing time? and what was with the kiss which was, in my view, for someone who can build a sonic screwdriver from scratch a bit pointless?

I know that sounds like I hated it, but now I think about it, maybe I was a bit overcritical, having dived into the classic stuff recently.

Anyway, I was completely reduced to utter squee, so that can only be a good thing. XD

Dialogue was good though, funny and clever. I laughed at the straw thing for too long! Can't wait for the next one! *squees a bit*

Mr Saxon was mentioned at the end - on the telly when Martha's getting ready for her brother's party, there's a med student from the hospital saying how his experience confirms Mr Saxon's theory about life beyond Earth. And there's a 'Vote Saxon' poster or two behind Martha when she's speaking to the Doctor outside the TARDIS at the end.

Yeah, that's the assumption, but it's the fact that he mentioned his family again. I think it's the planting of ideas in fans heads about who the brother could've been... And the forums on Outpost Gallifrey did go into meltdown :o) There is much speculation, and many think that a certain bearded someone is his brother. I maintain that they are cousins! But that kinda hinges on the Looms and other stuff from 'Lungbarrow'. Despite not seeing the books as canon, I've kinda accepted the whole 'artificial genetic recombination' thing as how new Gallifreyans are made, and I'm reluctant to give that up in favour of sexual reproduction and baby Time Lords ( ... )

I'm certain there was mention of a brother near the beginning of the episode!
I was wondering about that...

& a causal loop! ♥

Causal loops are love. And paradoxes, I love me some paradoxes. I have the mind for them.

Yes, causal loops & paradoxes are great, especially when used as plot devices and/or for shippy-purposes.

Probably a good idea. Welcome to my journal! You like the pretty stars? :o)

29?! Impressive. *thinks* I can say it in... about five. The one I'm most proud of is the Russian, because the others are fairly simple (French, Italian, Spanish, German) - I live with Russian speakers (though not for very much longer, hurrah!) and I know a grand total of seven words.

Nothing wrong with Christmas in summer - it's not like I would miss the snow :o) I just mean cos of the heat. Like you said - footpath, spatula. A hot day in Scotland is around 25-30 degrees. Over that would be pushing it, I'd be inside in a cool dark room with a fan and lots of water! :o)

*giggle* San Franfrisky... Oh, you live in SF? How's the fog? :o) And the taxis? Lots of snakes? ...Sorry, I'll stop :o)

Heh, Zzyzx. Thank you Wikipedia for providing a pronunciation guide. Reminds me of Jozxyqk.

I live just outside of SF...far enough inland that it is considered semi desert where I live. And SF is alright, the Castro District is a hoot and half! but the fog, she blows...especially to drive in!
