To any and all people performing chip removals,

We're advising you to take more precaution with who you choose to assist. There are one too many instances of those who are completely untrustworthy or with ill intent having their chips removed. You are hurting more than you are helping, believe me. Things will be harder and more dangerous for ( Read more... )

Has it occurred to you that power is needed to STOP power?

Excuse me?

I don't recall saying that nobody should have their chips removed. Only that more care should be taken in who they're removed from.

I think you worry too much. I doubt it can get much worse than how it is now.

It's my job to "worry too much."

Nobody ever says that without witnessing the worst shortly after. I would rather not fall into a false sense of security, as much as I appreciate the optimism.

So it has begun. The emotional, subjective basis for the justification of suppressing those of us with powers.

I'm honestly surprised it took so long.

No. I didn't say that. I said people need to be more careful. It wouldn't be fair considering I myself have had my chip removed.

Someone judges the others on whether they are deemed socially acceptable to have their powers returned to them.

That's the way it's been from the beginning- the doctors choose whether or not they trust someone enough to give their powers back to them. Considering that the chips were placed there, not to be removed to begin with, I would ease on the complaining. I'm simply pointing out that they've become more careless.

You shouldn't have any reason to feel offended, if you aren't one of those people.

Now this is the exact reason why I stopped doing removals in the first place.

The problem doesn't only lie with bad choices - it's impossible to keep the location of the chip secret. Once that's out in the open you can bet someone is going to come along and decide that they'd rather cut in line than wait patiently for their turn.

This is causing problems for everyone. I'm already getting backlash and implications of suppression and corruption. I don't know when hippies got into this city...

Just like the doctors get a lot of criticism for not being mind readers.

...hippies? What do they have to do with anything?

So far I've tried to remind them that the doctors are at risk as well, not just their "right" to have their chip removed. Doctors or anyone else who openly removes the chips could be in major risk for being threatened or kidnapped.

As it stands about the doctors being criticized, I've already spoken to a Dr. Faust, and he doesn't seem to be very... careful. About the people he's choosing. He might not help your image. I requested that he not remove the chip from someone who could be potentially dangerous and his response was that he had the means to reactivate it. Come to think of it, I don't know if he meant through killing or if he thinks he can just put it back in.

Nothing- just... I was making fun of someone.

Well, there was a tear in my coat and... another and... someone had to dive face-first into the long forgotten art of sewing...!

But what is this removal I hear of?

What? Oh. I understand.

It isn't something that I can give all the details of, considering that I'm not one of the people who does them. There are people who sometimes remove them as a favour. It isn't something they have to do for us.

Does it matter?

purgatory_maren March 25 2009, 04:05:47 UTC
It does. Things are going to be a lot harder if things keep going this way. As it is, at least one of those three people can kill us all without even trying, from what I hear...
