Rin was happy that she decided to stay here. It reminded her of Fuedal Japan much more than the upper levels had. She was walking home from her work schedule with Marron-nii. Marron-nii had arranged it so she would be able to go home when it was dark. Rin took Safaiikko almost everyday. The dragon was always her companion and her protector. For now, she didn't seem to be riding him, but leading him, without the leash this time ( ... )

"Okay, how about right below the clouds? It's not too high and you can see all of the town if Safaiikko goes around the whole town," the girl chimed offering again so it would be safe, "c'mon, I'll introduce you to Safaiikko, he's real gentle and nice once you get to know him," she smiled tugging at his shirt sleeve in a child-like way.

"That would be perfect." Makubex allwed himself to be led to the dragon, securing his bag over his shoulder.

Rin slowly trudged towards the dragon, whose head rose when he had seen her and her new companion, its nose sort of flared, but noticing that the young man was just a companion, seeing that the young child was tugging him along, the dragon lowered its head, and somewhat allowed the the girl to lead him towards the dragon, until they were standing about a foot from the dragon. She crawled up on the dragon and waited for the young man to get himself on too.

Makubex carefully climbed up behind her, looking around for something to hold on to.

She looked over her shoulder at the young man and noticed he was lookin for something. She thought for a moment, and then realized that she had forgot to tell him to not worry about that, since he could hold onto the dragon's large body.

"It's okay, Safaiikko won't drop you, just hold on tight to his body and you won't drop!" she explained.

"Alright..." Carefully, the boy steadied himself. Once he was sure he was stationary, he nodded. "Alright. I'm ready."

"OKAY!" the girl chimed again with her small melodice voice, "Let's fly Safaiikko!" she shouted and pointed up to the sky. The dragon understood and quickly soared into the air, almost instantly, and moving rather fast too.

Makubex couldn't hold back a small gasp as they took off. He hung on tightly, bracing himself.

When the Dragon soared to the good distance in the air, below the clouds about one feet and above the ground about a hundred feet plus. Rin was enjoying it like it was natural and glanced back at Makubex with her dark hues, and then asked him if he was okay.

"Makubex-san, are you okay?" the girl inquired. The dragon had slowed down and now somewhat soaring towards the city. They could see everything from where they were down to the town below.

Once he caught his breath, Makubex laughed. "I'm fine. This is amazing... The place doesn't look quite so bad from up here."

"Nope, not at all! Rin always sees the town from here, and it makes me want to stay here more than the Upper Levels. There's many nice people and a lot of things to do," she agreed.

The dragon continued to lead them into different parts of the town and not so fast, but fast enough so that he wasn't slow and that they could see everything. The child was happy that the new friend she made was feeling much better now.

"The upper level isn't that bad. But you are right about the people." Many of them, anyway.

"I was raised in an enviroment like this. No, no, I didn't mean that the upper levels are bad. It's so beautiful and warm up there, but I feel out of place. I like the forests here better and the river," she smiled.

Makubex chuckled. "I understand. I came from a city, so I'm not as used to that sort of thing."

"The city? How is the city? Is it like the upper levels, bright and busy?! I came from a village, so it's always dirt and forests. I love it though," she replied giggling. Safaiikko continued to lead them towards the forest now.
