The Adoption Story - Part 4

This is the story of when we went to India to adopt our daughter.  This part of the story covers our last 2 days in Kolkata, and the trip home.  Today is her Gotcha Day - the day that adoptive parents celebrate when their child(ren) first came to live with them.

My friends Marco and Nadia are settling in with their new little one, who they just brought home from Guatemala 3 weeks ago. He is adjusting real well now, but had some of the same terrors on the first nights away from what he knew as home.

:) the green card made me laugh.

i also liked the part about the present the childrens home people gave to your daughter to open when she was older. you must have been bursting with suspense to know what was in it for all those years!

We guessed it was a book. It was the right shape for a book, and we could feel the spine and edges of its cover. However, we did not know what the book was about, and that was suspenseful.
