Yeah, I have never felt so uninspired by the actual conference before. A bunch of stuff I wanted to see actually happened as i was leaving town, tho, so i'll just have to order audio of that all.
wanna write me a knockoff indexing program? :) My official plan is to line things up so that once i'm done wtih the bar exam, i can hit the ground and run with indexing as a sideline.
Hee. Frankly, I wish more people participated in that particular portion of the festivities. We often have little or no competition. Little do my coworkers know that when I leave, I'm still going to compete, so they'll have to step it up if they want to keep the tradition alive. (this was going on long before I got here... at least back to 1999.)
from what i understand, most indexing gigs are freelance. altho your town is one of a few places where it might happen FT, i guess. (Eagen MN and Dayton OH are actually two other ones that might. Eagen, for sure.)
don't think that hasn't occured to me. It's the kind of thing that will take a little out-of-law-school lead time, tho. But i have some contacts and some suggestions for how to proceed, so i'll be ready to run when the moment is right.
