Sorry. Forgot!

We may be winding down in any case.

But I've got some more prompts that are suggestive sentences and phrases found on Duolingo.

This week's prompt is:

Next time, enter through the door.

I'm sad we're winding down, but I suppose it's also realistic -- the com is pretty much dead. But thank you for keeping prompts going as long as you have. They've made a massive difference for me over the years. They've gotten me to write much more than I would have otherwise, and in much greater variety. So thank you for being awesome.

I feel guilty about this, as I always mean to get to the prompts, but my paying career is squashing my attempts at a writing career dead. :( I have loved some of your suggestions recently too. I will try and do something for this one.

It definitely seems like even the last small core of folks are going off in different (and exciting) directions. Just as far as seeing where the wind is blowing...

Your contributions are always great and you have NO need for guilt.

Dito -- you've done a tremendous job coming up with great prompts all this time! I keep thinking I will take advantage of them but I've gone so cold I need more external motivation.

It sounds like you've got some wind under your sails though for your novel, which is tremendous! I'm all, ooh, what is your secret?

I'm all, ooh, what is your secret?

Not working, don't have kids? Considering these advantages, you'd think I'd have far more to show...

BTW, I am still working on your giiiift! It goes slowly, but it goes. One problem is that, whenever I get a little momentum, the story gets angsty. ;) And since "happy" was your only request...

Did not mean to make any unilateral comm decisions, by the way. I don't see myself putting up prompts in the long-term... which is no reason we can't work out a hand-off plan.

What would be externally motivating to you, by the way?

Well you're more than within your rights to make a unilateral decision. But perhaps we should think of a handoff -- maybe I could trial a few months with a different format. So same question to you -- what could we have here that would be helpful to you ( ... )

I think I get what you mean by feeling like a rookie again! I did almost no writing this calendar year until well into summer, and it felt like stumbling and hobbling around, relearning how to walk, nothing I tried writing having any spark or grace or authenticity. Still does, though I've at least now I can get from point A to B ( ... )
