What a beautiful day! The views are fabulous. The early purple orchid really stands out in the field of wildflowers. It's nice to see so many.
I love Max's patient look.

Blue sky and blue sea! It's not often I get this when I'm walking by the coast here! We definitely picked the right day for our walk.

I'll have to return to Durlston in July, when the hay meadows are knee deep in wild flowers - they really are a spectacular sight.

It's the burnet that you eat as salad, rather than the one that you don't. What's funny about that? :-)

(I would be more inclined to laugh at vetchling. But it does sound very cute.)

Yes, I particularly like the name "vetchling". From the planet Vetch, presumably.

The young leaves of Salad Burnet are said to taste of cucumber... I'm going to have to taste one, in the name of science, aren't I?

Another glorious early-summer day, and people and dogs enjoying life - wonderful! And no mud, so no need for Bunter. :)

It really was a glorious day - all greenery and birdsong and sunshine, and the blue sea in the distance... And since we were walking to a café, no need for Bunter's assistance with the picnic basket!
