You're welcome!

I keep hoping for nightingales too, as nightingales like to nest in a nice scrubby landscape... But it's been years since I last heard a nightingale. Another species we've lost.

That turret looks decidedly odd.

What great photos! I especially loved the video with birdsong, and Max roaming the green.

It was never wise to give a Victorian architect free rein to his fancy - it always led to an outbreak of turrets!

Thank you!

What a great ramble you and Max must have had! I love that old ponies are kept as maintainers of the verge, so to speak.
Your Common Blue is a lovely butterfly.

Max is looking good. Enjoyed the video with the warbler song and Max in and out of the greenery.

It was a wonderful walk, even if I didn't find my Green-winged Orchids. I love being out at this time of year, with everything green and the hawthorn in blossom...

Looking at these pictures, Max is starting to get a bit hairy (though not by the standards of your lads!). I'll have to try and book him in for a clip soon.

That turret in the last photo is definitely somewhat hilarious. :)

I love the photos, though, and I love the mental image of the outdoor cafe with its contented humans and dogs.

I do love the blue butterflies - like a patch of sky fluttering among the flowers... I hope we have a good summer for them this year.
