30. The Walking Dead- a/n: continued from last year's drabblefest
Lima had turned into a zombie breeding ground. Every where Kurt looked, people he used to know lurched.
"C'mon." Puck grabbed the shell-shocked Kurt's arm and yanked him towards the big truck parked on the side of the road.
"You have the keys?" Kurt asked, still in a daze. His brain wasn't working right. He stared as Puck hot-wired the truck and stayed in a confused stupor, not snapping out of it until he saw the city limit sign whirr by.
"Wait," he cried out, startling Puck enough to make the truck swerve. "My dad! We can't leave my dad."
"We stay, we're dead."
Kurt made to open the door and leap out, even though they were going over sixty miles an hour. Puck stomped on the brake, sending them both crashing into the dashboard. Kurt might have a bruised forehead but at least he wasn't splattered all over the road.
