Puck knows the day that some of them figure it out. His phone lights up with first 'Artie' then 'Santana' while Kurt's says 'Blaine', 'Mercedes', and, somewhat inexplicably, 'Rory' in rapid succession. It takes them about three days longer than he had thought it would. Maybe Finn's failure to report to the Army had distracted them.

"Someone put all the pieces together," Kurt says calmly, looking at his text messages. "They're all shocked I would do something like this."

"With me of all people." Puck snorts. "Santana's less astonished and more curious about where we are."

"Consensus seems to be L.A."

"Too bad we're not predictable." Puck grins lazily and rolls over onto his stomach. "Bet they wouldn't predict any of this."

Truly, this was a plan concocted under the influence of alcohol!

It really was! And yet, there's some genius in it. IDK if you've read Outliers, but it talks about the reasons that some people or groups do become Outliers, and honestly, the constant performing and practice of WDW is, in some ways, far more valuable than lectures about technique. It's a stopgap plan to soothe disappointments, but it's far from the worst plan possible.
