Getting Out of Lima [5/14]patchfireJune 6 2012, 18:08:14 UTC
At three am, The Plan comes into being. A still-bossy drunk Kurt demands that Puck bring him a notebook, and he takes up five pages with a messy scrawl. Puck can barely read it and he thinks that half the steps didn't need to be written out, but it's a plan, a way out, and so what if it turns out they each need the other to make it away?
Puck's not stupid; he knows he wouldn't survive the Army any more than Finn will. If Finn goes, he'll come back broken, but Puck's tried and tried to change Finn's path. Finn doesn't listen.
Turns out maybe he was focusing on the wrong brother.
He knows it's probably a bad idea, fueled by alcohol and dreams that actually seem possible, but when Kurt trips and lands half in Puck's lap, Puck leans down and kisses him.
