Taking care of Business

And farewell Australia it is!!! For now anyway. Under normal circumstances, I'd dread boarding an 8 hour flight across that huge expanse of arid land before crossing the ocean and landing on the front door of that gigantic oversized glorified shopping plaza that is Singapore. Well, maybe not the boarding bit. I get all excited like a new puppy at ( Read more... )

Wow, that looks like a real treat! I've never flown business class.. Hopefully one day I'll get to experience that. Haha!

Hopefully :) It's definitely one of those experiences that is worth having at least once in your life!

I'm disappointed! Thought I'll get to see the hot SQ girls because rumour has it that the prettier ones serve Biz and 1st class..

Really? I've never heard of that, but I guess it makes sense. I mean, if I was running and airline I guess I'd stick all the hotties in with the VIP seating too.

Hahaha... reminds me of those dodgy places in Thailand I went to that had girls that you could umm... rent... split into various price brackets from the absolute shockers in the bargain bin to the modelesque ladies at the top end of the price bracket! I just went to look for laughs mind you, no transaction took place! Really!

Argh... I can't imagine 22 hours on a flight!! I've never flown more than 8 hours so I can't even imagine the torment that is 22! I guess it could be worse... you could be 6" plus right? :) Where are you off to?

Did you fly the A380 business class??

Reply

ptechnix December 7 2008, 02:20:06 UTC
Nah, all the A380 flights were booked out and so we flew on the Boeing 777-300ER I think it was. They use the exact same Business Class setup as the A380 so there wasn't any difference at all in terms of your individual seats.

Yeah the seats looked very much like the A380 seats so you got your money's worth! :p

Did they call you by name also, and gave you a bag of toiletries? I thought the bit where they addressed me by name was very weird, but that was business class in Malaysian Airlines. Who also have pretty looking air hostesses. Count your blessings, fly United Airlines and you'll know what I mean!

Hehe, yeah they called me by name.... incorrectly... and twice! For some reason they kept calling me the name of the person behind me! Then kept apologising for it. Haha... I didn't get a bag of toiletries however.

The MIA stewardesses weren't too bad from memory. But one thing I'm not a huge fan of is that they, and the SIA ones for that matter, just wear wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much makeup! It's like they've been shot in the face with a paintball gun prior to coming in to work! I'm a big fan of the more natural look :)

You know what, whenever I'm in Malaysia or overseas or anywhere but Melbourne, I don't wear makeup. When I'm in Melbourne, I do (though very, very minimal). I think it's a "face" we put on for work.

Also they all put their hairs in a bun. I DO TOO!
