The Twelfth Doctor: Girl In The Mirror ‘Verse
The Masterlist
Last year, I read an interview with Steven Moffat talking about the Matt Smith casting process. With all the speculation, people had been wondering about the possibility of a woman in the role. I don’t have the exact quote on-hand (I think it was in DWM), but he said something like it would take someone braver than him to do it.
I thought about his statement and wondered: What would this character have to be like in order to win people over? How things would change if he were a she?
Thus, my Twelve was born.
There are mysteries along the way, and a prophecy. There are even a few changes as Twelve figures out who she is. But she’s still the Doctor.
And hopefully in the end, it’ll be her hearts-and not her gender-that will win you over!
