You seem awfully cheerful for a prisoner. Would that the rest of us could manage such a cavalier attitude attitude.

W-Well, don't get me wrong - it isn't that I'm happy to be here, either.

But I'm in good health, and though the welcome wasn't exactly warm, these accommodations are still much nicer than the other possibilities. Bleak dungeons. The leaky underbellies of ships. My boss's office.

[He's still distractedly inspecting the screen, trying to figure out what he's looking at especially if it's mutual video - talking dogamajigs are not his usual fare]

"The welcome wasn't exactly warm." That may be the understatement of the month. These humans are far less pleasant hosts than others I have met.

I guess that means you're stuck here, as well...? Ah, but how bad can they be, if they've allowed us to communicate with each other so openly?

And I'm not tied up or anything, which is a nice change of pace as far as kidnappings go. The intentional sort or not.
