[Accidental Video] ℵ First Sunset

Dec 18, 2010 14:01

[ All that could be seen from the CLD's viewpoint when it snapped on was a dimness. And perhaps if they looked hard enough, the viewer could see something resting against it although what was hard to make out. When the owner finally spoke up, their voice was distant. ]

I should have known it wouldn't be that easy... What a joke. [ The grimace in ( Read more... )

It's a communicator, and I guess I should probably welcome you to Boston. Most people head for the hostel when they get here, and look for their friends.

[ Don't mind the resounding 'clunk' as one particular communicator hit the ground out of his surprise. Shortly followed by more fumbling and then quiet breathing. ] Head to the hostel?

[ His voice was uneasy. Seemed he had failed to bear in mind those recon lessons from Vexen. But could anyone blame him after being dropped into a new world so unplanned and in... such an uncomfortable manner? ] Where's that?

[Light doesn't really mind, it would surprise anyone.]

There's a tram that runs straight to it from the place where you come out into the city. Once you get there they'll give you a room and food for a few weeks until you can get on your feet.

What's your name?

[ A tram... And it leads to... That sounded a little too convenient for his liking. Like there was something underhanded about it. Or perhaps it was just his paranoia. Either way. ]

I'll keep that in mind. [ He might at least see what it was about but staying there? Not really likely.

...And then there was that inquiry and the teenager was quiet for just a beat. But that was all it took for him to realize that with all these new voices. And with him abandoning the Organization... ]

Roxas.

Like that other guy said: it's a communicator. It'll help you be able to get a hold of someone, if you need it.

[ unsure beat. ]

Did you find the tram station?

[ Good thing he had already heard from the other guy, too. It saved Ritsuka's ears from that initial cluttering. Still, there was an undeniable hesitance if the quiet was any indication. This communicator was already maybe feeling like a nuisance, but. Time to review that recon. Perhaps.

Finally. ]

Yeah... I've been there. Why?

Yeah, I've heard. [ And he wasn't really interested. Just getting housing and food like that? There had to be some sort of catch. Besides, he had things to do... like finding a way back. He had a pro- and then his head was throbbing from the very thought and Ritsuka might hear a faint groan. ]

It's a high-ranged communicative device, but it appears to have a lot more functions than just that. For the moment, all you really need to know is that it's capable of ranged and targetted communication. Kind of like a telephone, but with a broadcast option, which is what you've just used.

Well, actually it's more like a computer you wear on your wrist, but it's kind of complicated.

[ Range and targeted communication. Meaning he could talk to multiple people or one person in particular. Not that he was really planning on using it much. Or was he...? Seemed like he was figuring out more about things through these people than anyone he had come across so far... Not that he had spoken to many in the first place. As in maybe one person who looked at him funny. ]

A computer? What else can it do?

Uh, let's see... From what I can tell, it's pretty highly developed. Map, flashlight, radio... It even has games. Oh, and a Geiger counter. I'm still working on finding out more.

Hm... [ A map... A map was always good. The other things? He wasn't sure how useful they would be, but he figured that he would fiddle with it some more now that he knew more about it. Though... ]

A Geiger counter? [ That... sounded like something way out of left field. ]
