- Mounted switch for second cigarette lighter socket

Used the Dremel with right-angle attachment to drill and bore out a hole in the lower plastic mounting tab for the A/C chamber under the dash.  Mounted the kill switch in the hole.  Because it's mounted into the tab, it should be protected from accidental contact by passengers' feet.

It seems as though my attempt to isolate the ground for the cigarette lighter socket illumination has failed.  It worked for a few days, but the insulation seems to have broken down and the lighter now comes on with the interior lights but does not dim at all.  (Thank goodness I had the forethought to put a fuse in the variable ground line ( Read more... )

- Replaced OEM cigarette lighter socket with a socket that has an illuminated trim ring
