Considering I was a massive Spooks fan for the first three years, it says everythign that I'm going to watch Midsommer Murders tonight. Hermione Norris in it just makes me think "the ever revoling core of British TV actors" - Wire in the Blood to Spooks ? Please ! What I loved about the show at the beginning was that it had three virtual unknowns in the three lead roles. There are just too many cast changes in Spooks to make me care about it anymore, and now it seems like Hermione is just going to be doing the same role on a different channel. :/
Remind me, what happened on Due South ? Who left ?
I didn't start watching Spooks until after The Chip Pan incident, and my fannishness about the show has probably increased as the quality has decreased. They'd have to get rid of Harry (at least) to get rid of me.
Fraser's initial partner - the brash American to his Canadian mountie - Ray Vecchio was replaced by another brash American cop, named Ray Kowalski. However, the show made a plot point of it, RayV was supposed to be going undercover with the Mob, so Ray K (who didn't look like him at all) was supposed to take his place. Somehow. This being Due South, they got away with it, but fans tend to have a strong preference for one Ray or the other,
