Snape made sure everything was in place in the other room, before returning to the main room for Remus. He wasn't exactly sure what he was doing, if this was supposed to be romantic, or just something he wanted to share with Remus. Either way, it left him nervous enough that his palms were actually sweating

Remus, as was his wont, showed up about five minutes before six o'clock at the prescribed place, wearing a coat over his buttondown shirt. "Hello, Severus."

"Surely the world must have ended by now," Snape murmured, pulling back from Remus' embrace, as nice as it felt.

"I don't want it too." Which wasn't always something he could say. There were times he wouldn't have minded everything ending.

"Nor do I, which comes as surprise. It's usually something I look forward to."
