[It was supposed to be a good day. It really was. Yosuke was up earlier than normal, but he was alive and full of energy. He'd made breakfast, had a nice stretch, and was on his way out the door. When he pulled up]

Souji-san...

[ Madoka repeats the name sympathetically. Then pauses, considering what to say next. She knows it isn't her place, but can't imagine anyone would be happy to say that. She's really worried. ]

um.... Are you okay, sir?

[princeofjunes]

[A friend of Souji's? Sounds like it, but not one he's met. He's not sure how to respond, but it doesn't matter. He's in no position to think of a response. Yosuke just talks]

As okay as I can be. He wouldn't want me to spend a lot of time moping over this, but... it's hard to just let it go.

[ Vaguely. Madoka's mainly just super worried about you, Yosuke, the guy she knows zip about except that he might be sad. ]

I... I know. It... it really is.

[ pauses, trying not to let herself relate to the feeling. ]

Um-... I know it isn't my place to say, but... but friends don't want us to be sad over them because they love us and um... um, being sad means you love them a lot too, so... I don't think... Moping over a friend. It's not bad, so... [ mumble mumble, watch as all of her confidence just disappears. ]

[Even over the phone, the amount of cuteness being sent his way is great. It's enough to even lift his spirits somewhat, Yosuke giving a weak smile that she can't see]

Then I think I'll mope for a while. But I'll get through this. There are too many people here I don't want to let down. I'll do his share too.

Is he gone for good?

... I think so, yeah. Unless he comes back, but people who do that usually don't remember having been here. Right?

Most of the time, yeah.

Damn, and we were just getting to be friends, too.

[He lets out a weak chuckle]

He has that effect on people. A few more months and I bet he would've been friends with the entire town.

[So Rin got the hint to hide inside when she noticed that Yosuke was talking to Souji's drone outside the house. This happened way too often. Well, it looked like she would be ditching her classes today in an attempt to avoid him. Instead, she decided to practice her guitar in the basement.

So for a while, he'll be left alone, except for perhaps being aware of the muffled music. She's been doing it while he's been out, though, so after the last song, she comes up and of course, spots her not-brother looking ... out of sorts. She sighs where she's at. No matter what, this isn't going to be a fun day, is it?

So she crosses over and puts a hand on the arm of the couch.]

Hey~. ♪

[princeofjunes]

[He looks over at Rin, and actually manages a smile. The day's given him anything but something to be happy about, but...]

Hey, do me a favor?

Bring that guitar up here and rock out. Let me jump around like an idiot for a few minutes.

[doublerinbow]

[she blinks, then smiles back]

You got it. One sec! ♪

[... a little bit of running back and forth to set it up later, Rin stands there with her guitar.]

I found this song on my computer a while back. I think you'll like it. It's called Hi-Fi Girl. ♪

[she makes sure everything is in order, and then .... she starts jamming and singing as hard as she can. She really wants to give him a good show.]

[It only takes a minute for him to really get into the music. Setting his headphones aside, Yosuke gets up and starts jumping around and dancing, getting into it and going wild like it's the biggest concert he's been to in his entire life. It's pure release, and it's exactly what he needed as he dances out his excess frustrations and sadness in one madcap burst of energy. When it's over he's tired but smiling as he flops back on the couch]

You really are amazing, Rin-chan.

[Crowe suppresses a distressed noise.]

It's not... I-It's not for good, is it...?

[His reply takes a few seconds - seems doing this the whole day hasn't made it much easier]

I'm... pretty sure it is, yeah. I'm sorry, Crowe.

[There's a soft, frustrated sigh on his end.] I-I see. I'm sorry to hear it.

[Yosuke's quiet for a few moments. Doing this more doesn't make it easier every time he has to]

Will you be alright? I don't know how close you two were, but it's Souji. So I wouldn't be surprised if it was close.

...hnnn. I'm still here.

[That's a...large drop in number. Souji's in particular makes his heart drop, seeing how the two never did officially patch things up after that milk business.]

Alright, finally. Some good news today. Heard from anyone else today?
