And, finally, it seems you've neglected to recall Captain von Karma's reputation. If I'm not mistaken, his rage is something to be feared. Someone's bound to report both you and Francis's lack of responsibility, and once he hears that your proficiency isn't flawless, I'm afraid I won't be the one receiving the short end of the stick.

My strike isn't futile because I'm getting out of work, which was my entire reason for doing it. I already know that the Captain gets angry really easily, but I don't care because the Captain loves me too much to ever freak out at me.

Putting that aside, you say that the Captain loves you? In that case, why don't we walk over to his room, and you can tell him that both you and Francis are on strike. If your words hold firm, then he should shove all the responsibility on me for the following week. Perhaps even for the entire month, if you should so request it. Right?
