Are you all right, Rosella?

Hm?

[She wasn't expecting that voice from her device. ...And after that moment of realization sinks in, she belatedly remembers to tack on another four words.]

...Edmund? Yes, I'm fine.

[So smooth.]

You look a bit sad.

I'm not, really. Just remembering.

Is he well, Rosella?

primrosella February 23 2011, 00:47:17 UTC
I think so. He hasn't been up to wave hello to me yet, but that doesn't mean he hasn't heard me, of course.

It is rather cold, still. It's little wonder that he wouldn't want to come up into the cold.

Yes, that's true. We'll likely see more of him when things get warmer out.

Though I do wonder, come to think of it, if he might've gotten out for an adventure when the City flooded last week. I'm sure that would've been quite exciting for him, having the whole of the City to explore for a day.

[Suzaku hesitates for a moment, not wanting to impose since the device looks like it's accidentally running. If she's doing what he thinks she is, he can relate to the sentiment.]

Excuse me, miss. I think your device might have accidentally turned on.

[Well, that's certainly a polite way of bringing it to her attention. One of the nicest she's had, to be honest. Most people aren't nearly so considerate.]

Did it? Drat, that does seem to happen at the oddest times. And there's likely no getting it back down again, either, I should expect. But I do appreciate you letting me know, thank you.

You're welcome. I've noticed that these devices seem to have that problem. When I first arrived it did the same thing to me.

And no one's ever found a way to stop it, it seems. At least, it's been going on for as long as I've been here, and no one's come up with anything yet. Well, other than leaving one's device at home, that is. Or breaking it.

Blue's lake monster, yes. I thought we might celebrate together, since I hadn't been out to visit him in a while.

Hello, Caspian.

A lake "monster"? And what are we celebrating?

I think he's a sea monster, actually, but it doesn't seem proper to call him a sea monster when he lives in a lake, so he's a lake monster instead.

It was Blue's birthday last Saturday. But I was cursed then, so I missed it on the day of.

I think one is enough in a situation like that.

It didn't seem proper to have any more than that, if I couldn't have the whole number. One is enough for one more year, I should think.

Sometimes people get sensitive in their old age, anyway. One's a safe bet.

And the perfect size for a cupcake, too.

And how are you today, Claire?
