You're welcome. I've noticed that these devices seem to have that problem. When I first arrived it did the same thing to me.

And no one's ever found a way to stop it, it seems. At least, it's been going on for as long as I've been here, and no one's come up with anything yet. Well, other than leaving one's device at home, that is. Or breaking it.

From what I've been told of this place, it wouldn't surprise me if the so-called Gods were responsible for that. They don't seem to care very much for our convenience.

I am, I arrived about a week ago. I've been told that I've been here before but I don't remember any of it. My name is Suzaku Kururugi, I'm not sure if you recognize that name or not.

I think we may have spoken once, but never at great length. Hello, Suzaku. It's a pleasure to speak with you again, even if the circumstances are a bit unfortunate. I'm Rosella.

It's an honor to meet you, Rosella. If you don't mind me asking, are you celebrating a birthday for a friend?

Something like that, yes. He's--he's back home now, but it was his birthday this past Saturday, and the curses made me miss it. So our celebration is a bit belated, but I don't think he'd mind that, really.

I did the same thing for someone important to me back home. Except now I'm with that person here, which still takes some getting used to. I'm sure he'd understand and appreciates that you're still doing something.

Are you? I'm glad to hear that. It's always a help to have someone familiar around. And it certainly makes settling in a great deal easier, too.

It's been about half a year now, since he left. It's a little hard to believe so much time has gone by, really.

Oh, is Euphie your friend, then? How nice! I was in a play with her a few months ago, and we have quite a few friends in common.

It was two and a half years, this month. So it's been quite some time for me, I'm afraid.

Ah, she is. I once served as her knight and I have taken on a similar role here. Oh? What play were you in?

[Blinks.]

That's the longest I've heard of so far. Have you ever returned home for a brief time? I've heard that's possible.

Why, then I ought to be calling you Sir Suzaku! How lovely to meet a proper knight, it's been some time since I last saw one.

It is possible, yes, but I'm afraid it's...never happened for me, unfortunately. Oh, but I'm not the longest here, by any means. A friend of mine has been here more than three, coming up on four years now. But he's been home once, as I recall, and I haven't at all.
