Is there a time limit on how long people are allowed to talk about something? A sort of fandom statute of limitations; if you got away with XYZ for 3 years you get away with & everyone forgives you. At the same time, I'm a little rueful. I keep thinking that I ought to quit fandom_wank (a guilty pleasure) cold turkey now because nothing can ever top this. Unless maybe Hermione actually does end up with Harry in Book 7, that is.
I refuse to let people like msscribe make me quit believing in people.
I think that's a good sentiment, and one we should all take to heart. Although, probably anyone involved in this mess might have trouble relating to it at the moment. :/

Oh I agree. I'm enjoying seeing people make amends around the fandom though. I'd be lying if I didn't say that I wouldn't blame people if they were more cynical/jaded from now on.
