Well, they quickly did the dip stick-in-wee thing and that came back negative.
I now need to go in tomorrow so they can send off a sample to be tested.

It definitely wasn't contractions but boy did it hurt. Ugh.

Thank you!

I'm at work and not really supposed to be on my phone do forgive me if I missed this but you've had your glucose test? They may want to run another one. Sugar in your urine could cause the sweet smell and is definitely a sign of diabetes...

I was supposed to have it weeks ago but my midwife decided against it.
I'm now, finally, due to have it on friday.

I agree with the others who've said it really sounds like a UTI. I have had one during this pregnancy, though, and it did not present with the same symptoms I get when I am not pregnant and get a UTI...

I would also wonder about kidney stones or a kidney infection... But I don't know much about those. Just that they're painful. I'll be thinking of you!

I was thinking about kidneys as well but I just don't know.
I kind of feel that if I have to start taking painkillers because of how intense the pain is
and I still have the severest urge to go pee every 5 minutes then something's up.

Thank you! I'm praying by now for time to just fly by so this can finish.

Yeah, I think something may definitely be up... I hope it can either be fixed by meds or something OR that it passes quickly!

Do you think you might have had bladder spasms? They can be exceedingly painful! When I had them it felt like it did when my daughter was crowning during labor. Have you had bladder issues in the past? I have interstitial cystitis and you basically feel the urge to pee nonstop. It sucks.

My first thought was UTI, but if they've sorta ruled that out, my next thought it kidney stones. That could explain the blood tinged discharge if you were trying to pass a stone. It could also explain the back pain. I also learned when my husband had kidney stones, that the ureter (which takes urine from the kidney to the bladder) spasms every 10-20 minutes to release urine into the bladder. All was fine until that spasm happened and then he was throwing up from the pain. Taking ibuprofen (which pregnant ladies can't take :/) prevents the spasm and prevents that pain. Have you been drinking enough liquids? not dehydrated? those tend to make kidney stone issues worse if you're fluid intake is down. Gotta keep flushing out those kidneys. The sweet smell is suspicious too... I'd definitely push for further testing, especially of a urine sample. Hope you get some answers soon!
