:-( yeah, for a first time mom i might be able to do tacoma or even olympia but spokane is just not possible.

that would definitely not be free!

but hey, if you are willing to pay for my flight and hotel AND take the risk that i could miss the birth entirely, i'm up for it ;-) i've never been to texas before ...

I'm due in a few months and giving birth at Providence but having a c-section so don't really need a doula :( BUT I will keep my ears open for you! :)

thanks! doulas actually can and do attend scheduled c-sections births, often for emotional support or to help the mom get breastfeeding established. for my training purposes though, only one of my three births can be surgical, and my december mom is that one.
