Sure you do!
I finished my doula training course from the Simkin Center at Bastyr University last month. I now need to attend training births in order to become certified with DONA. I have done one already, and I have another lined up for December. I am now hoping to find someone due this fall.
If you are in the greater Puget Sound area, preferably Seattle or farther north (I am in Everett) and would like a FREE doula at your birth, please send me a private message with your location, due date, and any important information you think I should know about your birth plan. I am OK with home, birth center and hospital birth.
I don't have a lot of experience yet (two births as a spectator, my own two children, and then I supported a friend last year as a doula figure before my formal education. My first training birth was my 6th birth experience and my 2nd as a support person) but I do know a ton about birth, most of which happened because of information and resources I learned about through lj!
