yikes, this is a tough one that Id also struggle with.

Can you just call the doctor and explain exactly this? maybe she would be willing to start seeing you at her calculated 26 weeks weekly (even if it is really 30 weeks) just to be safe? It could kind of be a liability on her part too of ignoring the ultrasound tech especially after admitting that she is not very good at ultrasound dating.

just my thoughts. good luck and keep us updated!

thanks I will try this, I am just super worried especially being so close to the gestational age that my son was born at.

I don't see what you can do except talk to your doctor and insist on dating you according to LMP and first ultrasound. It sounds like you've been measuring consistently according to that first ultrasound anyway. If she refuses then I'd seriously consider changing doctors.

I plan on talking to her and I guess switch doctors if I have to but I would hate to have to do that this late in the game. If it is the best thing for my daughter and myself then thats what I will do.

I'd start looking for recommendations for a new doctor ASAP, and talk to her as soon as you can too. If she comes around you might be comfortable staying with her, but if not, your health (yours and the baby's) are way too important to mess around with.

Maybe not switch doctors just yet, but maybe go to another doctor and explain your concerns and get them to do the dating? I seriously wouldn't trust this DR since you've been measuring consistently according to your lmp and 1st ultrasound :(

No offense, but your doctor sounds like an idiot. Can you see someone else in her practice or get a second opinion outside of it? If you can move your care, I would suggest it, since she is obviously ignoring all medical science that indicates your June 1st DD is correct. Your concerns are more than justified, and she seems to be ignoring them - what happens if you go into labor and have complications because she refuses to schedule your c-section based on all the evidence ( ... )

All of this.

More than one thing has pointed to your original due date of June 1. If the doctor is ignoring it, you should seriously bring it up with her and tell her you want monitoring now or switch doctors.

THANK YOU!!! I take no offense at all because I too am coming to the conclusion that she is an idiot. I am going to call her office and see if she or another in her practice would be willing to start the Ultraounds thursday and if they say no then I will be calling other practices.

I agree w/what everyone has said 100% and your course of action is exactly what I would do if I were in your shoes. At the end of the day, you are your own best advocate.

Good luck!

The earlier the ultrasound, the more accurate for dating. She should know that, if I know that! I'm glad you're willing to try to find other doctor!

Dude, your LMP is 20 days after mine and you are due 50 DAYS after me? Something does not add up for SURE.
