And just plucked up the courage to watch the video - made me tear up, but just incredible, thank you again.

Congratulations!

I too got up the courage to watch the video. So cool when baby came out, I watched your whole belly deflate. Haha.

I love the detail in this amazing birth story. Great job!

And--good thing you didn't take the Ambien! With my son, my first, I was given Ambien at around midnight so I could get some sleep before we made some decisions about induction. I had Cervadil at the same time so my non-effaced cervix could ripen while I slept. I woke up about 2 hours later *heavily* hallucinating, almost in transition. My son was born at 7:15, but interrupted Ambien sleep for the first couple hours was like tripping on acid while in heavy labor. I'm surprised they *ever* give this to women in early labor situations, because it was terrifying and devastating.

I have to thank you for this birth story--I've been freaking out so much about labor in the past few weeks. But watching your video, I felt so comforted--I can do that, too!--and almost excited about what is ahead. So thanks for posting it. I really mean that.

Congrats on your beautiful baby!
