I have a tilted cervix and I had 2 transvaginal ultrasounds, 1 at 5w3d and you couldn't see anything, infact her exact words were that there were no signs of pregnancy, at the 2nd one at 6w3d you could see the baby, the yolk sac and the heartbeat.
I'm sorry. Let's just hope your dates are a few days off. In one week it went from there being nothing there, being told that there was no sign of pregnancy to having a heartbeat, baby blob and a yolk sac.
I'm hoping that's the case. I hope when I go back he orders a normal ultrasound and something can be seen that way. Its so frustrating not being able to know whats going on. Internal examination shows I'm measuring larger than I should be - but nothing on ultrasound... i'm having brown discharge... but not cramping or red/pink blood.
I guess I just get to wait until tuesday and see if my hcg is increasing. :(
I spotted during both of my pregnancies - the first ended in miscarriage, the second did not. There's no way of knowing what will happen, so the best you can do is wait for those beta hcg results.
Nope, no sex the first time. It was after sex the second time. :( Just went to the bathroom and when I wiped there it was. I'm experiencing it again today after nothing all day yesterday (no sex, no strain, just been resting - but no cramping or bright red blood - I supposed that is a good sign).
I had bleeding with my first child enough that I though I'd just had a light period and didn't even reallize I was pregnant.
With #2 I had an episode more similar to yours, except the first time it was reddish spots on the paper the first wipe. My doctor checked and there was nothing there to be concerned about.
I'd say not to worry more about it unless you start having worse symptoms, just keep your doctor posted.
If you've had sex recently that could cause it as well.
When I miscarried, I had red blood--exactly like my period. I had no cramping until I was told my hCg levels were falling (almost a week after the bleeding had started), but I was passing small blood clots as well (also normal for me on my period).
The waiting game sucks. But that's really all you can do at this point--your beta numbers will tell the most complete story about what's going on. You don't even have to put yourself on bedrest or anything--do what you're comfortable with. If a miscarriage is imminent, laying around won't stop it and if it's not living your life won't cause one.
*hugs* Good luck, I'm hoping for the best for you.
Thank you very much. I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't even imagine how I will feel if the worst does happen. I've had no red blood as of yet, so I think that is a positive. Best thing I can do is try not to think about it too much and just wait for Tuesday!
Also, when I miscarried, I was measuring well over a week behind, there was no heartbeat/fetal pole visible on ultrasound (at what should've been close to 8 weeks gestation), and my levels were low at the first draw. The real tell was when they fell at the second draw. The bleeding also was exactly like a normal period for me, no spotting/ramping up/nothing weird. I just woke up one morning to light red bleeding that continued and got progressively heavier over the course of days.
If the worst happens, you'll get through it. It won't be easy, necessarily, but you'll heal. It sounds to me like everything seems to be okay with you right now, and good luck staying sane waiting for your levels 'til Tuesday. :)
