Wow! That was awesome. Despite the threatening rain and the stifling heat, we got an amazing crowd on Sunday night for the outdoor screening of LOH put on by my new favorite pair of cine-mad Austinites, Maggie Lea and Scott Jawson. Coming up on that busy weekend I alluded to in my last post in mid-June (sorry, blog-fans). Fort Worth screening is tomorrow. Chicago is Friday & Saturday (unfortunately I won't be there for those) and Austin is Sunday night, outside. Next screening after that - Seoul, South Korea! The Austin Chronicle published a very nice article with a saucy pic of LOH star Heather Kafka today, in support of tonight's screening and next week's run at the Ritz. The post-SXSW crash was even harder in some ways than the post-Sundance crash. Weird. But, I seem to be crawling back just in time for more festivals - Dallas this weekend! The film screens on Sunday afternoon, right up against other "local" films like HARMONY AND ME, ALABAMA MOON and DANCE WITH THE ONE. Loyalties will be tested!
