And of course the Goblins can reveal his true heritage. Because, y'know, banks handle DNA tests all the time.
As horribly OOC as the Dursleys cheating on each other is, I keep getting distracted by how contrived it is that both affairs resulted in children at the same and both lovers conveniently drop out of the picture.
And don't get me started on the names. Or the speshul spelling of magic.

I really wonder if the writer understands how bizarre what they've written actually is, but then I wonder this about all of the writer's who write creaturefic stories and find the need to warn people of creaturefic. I've read one good creaturefic in the past for the Draco/Hermione pairing and the writer did so without getting as bizarre as some of the stories I read.
I wonder how much stems from the age of the writer and readers. I suspect many are in their teens going through their chuunibyou stage where they think they actually know how the world works. I suspect this is why many don't ever get finished - the writers and readers do grow out of their chuunibyou stage and realize the world is a lot more complicated then they realize as are the way people interact with other people.
