"L.O.L."? srsly?

SAMPLE:Hmmm… Where to put you my dear? Hmmm…. It seems you have qualities of all four houses. But we must figure out which quality is the strongest and which house would most benefit you in your development. Now lets see…
So much courage, Yet so much doubt So loyal yet, Such independence

Blind, lustful, ambition

But so calm

An unquenchable thirst for knowledge

Yet scarred by the truth

You my dear contradict everything you stand for, such confusion and blindness. Your path in life can only go so many ways. I fear for you because of this! Take your time; don’t rush in to things just because you’re scared. It doesn’t matter what house you are in only the person you put forth. Remember these things and you should be just fine.

“SLYTHERIN!” The hat bellowed out the word for the whole hall to hear. Just as it was being taken of her head it said one last thing.
“I’ll be seeing you soon”

A bright light lit up the great hall, growing brighter and brighter until it finally just disappeared, in its place stood a small brick fireplace, very eloquent and very rustic looking. It sat in the middle of a room, which was covered in darkness. By the glow of the fire you could just make out the very deep orange hue of the walls and the white carpet that covered the entire floor. There were clothes scattered everywhere, even on the four-poster bed in the center of the room, where a young woman had just woken up.

Echo was dazed for a few moments. She wasn’t sure what had just happened. Another one of her dreams she guessed. Why could she never remember them though? It was as if her mind had put a permanent block on her dreams lately. She rolled over on her back, away from the glow of the fireplace and closed her eyes. She thought hard about her dream, the blurry images and the distorted words. A full five minutes of this and her head was already starting to hurt. Not a very patient person, she gave this up quickly.

She rolled back on her side and decided to try for sleep again. A little more tossing and turning and she finally decided that sleep just would not come. She looked over at her clock, which read in bold red numbers 6:00Cursing under her breath and hitting her pillow multiple times, she got up from the warm, cozy bed, damming to hell anyone who got in her way today.

She walked over to her suitcase, which had been nice and neat when she arrived the night before but know was missing half her things that were now strewn across the room. She picked through the clothes that were left and found what she wanted to wear for that day.

A black band tee with THE USED on the front and a pair of black cargo pants. Muggle clothes though they were, she didn’t care! Classes didn’t start for a full week and she decided to take every advantage of that time to do as she pleased. When the students came then she might put on more professional attire. She hadn’t quite decided yet.

She finished grabbing the things she needed and/or wanted, which included; black eyeliner, a pair of white socks, and a pink thong (It had been one of those Christmas presents you didn’t want and plus it was all she could find at the moment) then shut the lid of the trunk.

She held on to her things, not really neatly and headed out the door. This was a fairly new thing for her, no bathroom in her room, and she was no happy about it! When she was a student at Hogwarts she never remembered having to walk a mile down the hall just to get to the bathroom and take a shower! She guessed it was different for the teachers.

It was cold in the halls, and she missed the comfort of her nice, warm bed. There were no real windows (since this was the dungeon part of the castle) and the only light came from the torches that hung on the walls, bewitched to never quite burning not even during the day.

As she walked she noticed that every little detail was just as she remembered it to the t. She rounded a corner thinking how odd this was when…

“Ummph!”

She ran into something.

The force of the blow caused her to trip over this something, falling right on top of it. She looked down at this thing and realized that it wasn’t a thing at all but a person!

The torchlight shone on his face revealing him to be a one Severus Snape.

She was so flustered that she froze. A chicken ready to have its head cut off.

Snape just glared at her like she was something from another dimension. He frowned, furrowed his brows and quickly gained composure.

“Ahem….”

“A…ahhhh. ahemmmmmmm”

“ MISS BAILEY, GET OFF OF ME BEFORE I CAST STUPEFY ON YOU!”

Somehow she managed to register the word stupefy and comprehend it’s meaning. She rolled off him quickly, got to her feet and to hide her embarrassment started to collect her things that had fallen on the ground, trying her best not to look at his face. Snape stood up, dusted of his robes, and just glared at her even harder than before.

Feeling the heat of his glare, Echo felt a shiver run up her spine.

Was it from the cold?

She didn’t think so!

Slowly with her bundle of clothes in her hand she turned around to face the very heated man.

“Yes professor? What can I do for you?”

His face turned down in an even bigger frown and he let out an annoyed snort.

“You run in to me, knock me over, then fall on top of me and all you have in reply is yes professor what can I do for you?”

“Well what would you have me to say?” Looking confused

“A simple apology might be satisfactory,” he said crossing his arms and waiting.

In her flustered state Echo totally forgot that she hadn’t breathed a word of sorry to the professor on the above charges.

“I am so sorry, I totally lost track of thought, I…I….” He held up a hand to silence her.

“Yes, I’m sure,” “Well as much as I loved running in to you, I have much more important things to do. Things that don’t require pain, and you!” Putting emphases on you both times.

Echo remembered he was cruel and wasn’t let down by her memory. She nodded her head in dismissal, turned around and started walking the opposite way down the hall, away from him.

She got so far and thought she had escaped, expecting Snape to go about his own way to.

Unfortunately, she was wrong.

“Miss Bailey?” his voice carried down the hall to her.

“Yes, what is it?’ she said turning around and wondering why he couldn’t just leave her be.

“I think your forgetting something!”

To her utter horror, Snape was standing there holding between his thumb and forefinger

Her thong!

She was mortified! Red quickly spread all over her face. She wanted to crawl off somewhere and just die! She wanted to run screaming from the castle, not caring if she ever got a chance at this job again.

Sucking up her pride she went back up the hall, staring at the floor as she went, not daring to look in his eyes or at the grin on his face at her obvious mortification. When she reached him she grabbed it out of his hands and turned back around.

This time practically stumbling over her self to get down the hall to where a cool shower might wash away this whole scene.

She had just made it to about the same spot as before when she heard Snape behind her.

“ Echo, if you want to be a halfway way decent teacher here, then I give you a word of advice.”

“Keep your undergarments away from the public and especially away from me!”

Turning the corner, Echo ran the rest of the way to where the shower rooms were. This had been one of the worst experiences of her life, if not the worst. She was defiantly not going to be accepting anymore Christmas presents from her great aunt Sonya!

She wiped her eyes of the tears that she had surprisingly found there

“Why did Dumbledore not tell me that he was here?” She said it to know one in particular and didn’t expect an answer, fore she new the answer already.

“ I wouldn’t have accepted this job if I had known.”

Well, I’m here now and there’s no changing that. I guess the best I can do is make the most of it. This is my first, real teaching job anyway and I’m not going to let Severus, or anyone else mess this up for me.

My friend, I don’t know what you think now that I’m here but I can promise you one thing. This is going to be one HELL of a year!
