the problem here being how time-turners work with even more restrictions being placed on them by the Cursed Child series, restrictions I might add that throws out a huge chunk of the time traveling fics.

Why on earth would you count a stage play as canon for a book series?

Answer: The canonicity of a particular storyline within a given series is not determined by the medium chosen to tell the story, but by authorship. If one discredits Cursed Child because of the format used, then one must also discredit Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them, which is a major disservice to J.K. Rowling's script writing debut ( ... )

I suspect we disagree wildly on the definition of "canon". And I do, in fact, also consider FB not canon.

I hate how they use time travel as an excuse for teacher-student, crossgen relationships. It doesn't make it any less squicky. It just makes it more awful.
