Perhaps I'm in the minority here. I would prefer to think that I was of some experience, had sampled some of the sensual pleasures of the world, in two words - been around, etc. But I have never, ever, not even once, seen stars, constellations or flashing lights at the point of climax. Someone of my flist posted the passing out during orgasm question on their livejournal a few weeks ago. A surprising large minority of those who responded said they had indeed passed out at least once in their orgasmic experience. I believe most of the respondants were women (and iirc, most had experienced it through masturbation, not penetrative sex). Alas, I haven't had this experience myself.

I think it's a metaphor for the fact that, at least in my case, I really can't see anything at all, because my brain is overloaded.

I've passed out just after orgasm before, but never from penetrative sex. And it's not an all the time thing, and... yeah. /tmi

Never passed out, but got tunnel vision and sparklies (i.e. 'seeing stars').

Never seen anyone's eyes change color or go darker/lighter, but I do make a habit of watching eyes at the Moment of Truth... because I like how people's eyes go out of focus and they go all walleyed or crosseyed. It's adorable.

I've had the tunnel vision and sparklies too. I've never passed out though, and I just can't even imagine how embarrassing it would be to pass out because of an orgasm. Your sex-partner would be seriously freaked out.

i got sparklies only a couple times, but I was about to pass out(and no, not due to any form of sexual stimulation)...

darn it...maybe if i drink enough brewed kavakava???
