Perhaps I'm in the minority here. I would prefer to think that I was of some experience, had sampled some of the sensual pleasures of the world, in two words - been around, etc. But I have never, ever, not even once, seen stars, constellations or flashing lights at the point of climax. Nor have I passed out. This may be a male phenomenon. If so, I would love to be enlightened.
Maybe it's a magical thing. Maybe I'm jealous. But if I read one more piece of smut/romance/het/slash, you name it, that describes this flashing light convergence in heated detail I'm skipping a review and going straight to my physician for some straight (or not) answers.
Anyone else bothered by these pinpricks of light? And in a similar vein, eyes changing color with arousal (and I'm with everyone else on the use of orbs in general). I understand that one's pupils will dilate as one approaches The Moment but I've never thought to gauge my success by the deepening of color in either my fictional or actual partner's cerulean orbs. Eyes, whether the lids be flashing blinding color or not, tend to be the last part of the anatomy that I'm considering in the culmination of the act.
Maybe I'm not trying hard enough. I feel a bit left out.
