Well, there's lots and lots of fanfic says Jack's a cool daddy, so I can see it pretty doggone easily. I had read the Zac rumor too, then that it weren't so. Indiana Jones pulled it off okay--possiblities are endless in the big old world. Jack's only flighty when it suits him--Mary 648 and Madam Puddifoot have a darling fic about Jack which includes some excellent advice from Teague. Life is good and it is, as always, whatever floats yer boat!

Well, nobody says he has to have rasied him. Or even know he exists. I mean, he spends an awful lot of time dallying with ladies like Scarlet and Giselle...

And now I'm getting visions of Jack Sparrow going to a bawdy house and being recommended a fresh young man, recently introduced to his mother's trade, and only in the last moment / never finding out... Right, sorry, I'll just be going to bleach my brain of Sparrow-incest...

No, no, go on... ;)

Seriously, I imagine he's got a dozen kids, though he won't claim them.

The idea of Zac Efron as his son in a cutesy storyline makes me want to stab my own eyes out and someone else's too. But maybe not in that order, because it sounds troublesome.

Actually, Zac's a pretty good actor. He's a young guy and is no Sir Laurence Olivier yet, but he's not repulsive. *G* I just don't want them to drag in a kid for Jack. He's fine without it, really.

Maybe it's my tragic lack of imagination, but I can only see that plotline going about two ways, and they both suck.

I was dead-set against Teague before I saw the film, but I actually liked him. He made Jack more human and less legendary but it was OK. I think adding a kid would reduce his legendary quality too much.

I also despise HSM.
I don't see why they cannot use a character all ready in existance, say Liam, Elizabeth's and William's son. He's there after all, he could fill a place. That's my writer side. *lol*

As for Teague and Jack, I thought that was pretty coolo. It did make Jack a bit more human because his father tells him to get out of the way and no way in heck is Jack gonna make a fuss.

I guess its just that I think the plot line old. We have Will and Bill then we have Jack adn Teague and I heard that Teague is to appear in POTC4 along with Jack, another rocker dude is to play Jack's older brother, and if ZE isn't Jack's son, he may play the younger brother.

I'll take the brother thing over the son thing anyday, and I guess I could live with ZE. but if he ruins the film for me, despite JD being all hot and stuff, than I shall deny that movie was every made. *lol*

I was thinking, that maybe if they did it in a way where the son and Jack don't know about the other...and it only comes out at the end when it honestly doesn't matter, that it could work that way.

Yucko--no offense to young Mr. Efron, just need pirates to remain a little scruffy, not cuted up and made all squeaky clean. I think that they should have Dame Judith or Helen Mirran as an older woman love interest....yeah, Dame Judith and Mr. Depp were so cute together in Chocolate, a little crone-in-love or else work in John Barrowman from Torchwood, Captain Jack Harkness...well, if'n we're wishin'...
