YAY, thank you!!! I cannot even begin to describe the degree to which I freaked out when Photoshop fought back during my zero-hour graphics making attempt, so hella glad and relieved this was still a fun read in a mostly text format!

True facts: I have had nightmares about Clippy. That is one freakish little talking paperclip. But now I can imagine him intoning these messages, and he will (hopefully) seem more smartass and less eldritch abomination.

Thank you!! Once I can figure out what in the seven hells is going on with Photoshop, I'm prob'ly gonna go ahead and make all the error messages into graphics just because I want to troll with them on Facebook. Naturally, if I get them done, they will be up for the taking so everyone can use them for the Greater Good (AKA hassling people on social media).

I'm sorry for your technical difficulty, but it adds a level of meta lolz, that you just can't make up. :)

I hated Clippy, but I used to leave it turned on, because it was the only way to mute the copious sounds produced by doing completely normal things in Word, without muting the rest of the computer. I left it on either the dog or cat version, because at least they were cute.

You know what I hate even worse, though? The option in MSWord 10 that brings up a Bing sidebar that completely freezes my computer while it tries to look up "and." Or how about the option where, after you highlight a sentence and you accidentally move the mouse, completely lifts all the highlighted words into the middle of another word.

Does anybody actually WANT these options?

Or how about the option where, if you format a certain paragraph in some certain way, such as indented and italicized, it tries to make EVERY SUBSEQUENT PARAGRAPH exactly the same. Ummmm.... Wouldn't I just do "Select All" if I wanted that crap? I mean, really.

That last part is a longstanding Windows feature where it tries to guess what you're doing (just like Clippy!) and autoformat everything from thereon to be something that will piss you off and take effort to undo.

In the extended "Options" area, you can unclick some of those "automatic style" things that cause this. Not all of them, though, because I have them unclicked and this STILL happens. Also during MS Outlook emails.

Just so you know... 2013 is worse than 2010. My office made us go to 2013 Office. I would have stayed on 2003 practically forever, if I could have.

Auto double-space as the norm starting in 2010, and the removal of the ability to edit your "default template" to undo that? G$%(*!!! So much hate...
