I feel like this blog has just managed to list one disaster after another this year. I can't remember a year where some many bad things have happened. So trust me, if you are not up for reading about more of that, feel free to skip.

Glad your grandmother was diagnosed and patched up - hope they got everything the could and that she's up for a quick recovery. So sorry to hear of your friend's elderly inlaw. Even when expected, these things are hard to take (I had an aunt pass away around Thanksgiving a few years back - also unexpected. Now I get to remember it every year. :S
