It does seem that the man's mood sets the tone of the home. I can come home in a perfectly fine mood and within minutes it will turn foul because OM is grumpy. Here's hoping yours stays happy - and helpful!!

I read that and thought--no! I should set the tone, not the boys! But, then I thought about the fact that it's sort of a mutual tone setting depending on how strongly each of us feels. There are times when I can be talked out of grump and times when he can--and sadly vice versa when grump abounds. In general though, I think you're right--Jeff does set the tone and it's lucky for me he's always so mellow and content and I'm so willing to feel that way even if it doesn't come natural-like.

I didn't know there were any straight guys who even knew there was such a thing as a delicates wash. Or that bathrooms need to be cleaned, for that matter.

My guy thankfully knows how to clean a bathroom. However, his version of washing clothes involves throwing everything together--darks, lights, etc. But then he doesn't need to worry about washing my delicates...yet.

They have to be shown the way. Of course, I'm the one that mixed lights and darks. White load? Why bother! I had to be 'trained' as well.
