I'm not that amazing |D Careful, or I might get a swelled head! I am glad you think I'm doing well, though. Let me know if things seem off or weird! Playing two classic characters means lots of people know them and I hope they'll speak up if something's off.

AND BRING THEM ON >D Hawkeye will welcome all comers, albeit with some confusion at first, perhaps? There will be puns.

Honestly, I'm not going to be drawing from the new movie. I'm still debating about whether I want to see it. And this is kind of a common division among Sherlockians at the moment. I may go see it with the frame of mind that this is not Sherlock Holmes, but the movie equivalent of a fanfic. From what I've seen of it and read about it, I really disagree with some of the characterization decisions the director and actors have made. It's much more of a fantasy, almost Steampunk, AU of Sherlock Holmes. It looks much rougher, much coarser than most other versions, which is unusual. It almost seems to be trying to be more like League of Extraordinary ( ... )

Aaaaaaaaah Caru. I always say I'm going to talk to Cain more and then. My eyes get buried in the wall of text and I slink away with nothing to say because there is so much to say. So that's my fault. I don't know anything about Godchild but I will say he's definitely a very consistent character and I like him.

As for Holmes-- the Irregulars! I think that little subplot thing was brilliant and I look forward to throwing my irritable Chinese boy in that direction.

Lazlo is the only one of the deities I really see around on a regular basis... I stalk deity trades out of curiousity. He's really... he's really neat. The way that he speaks and his biting wit. I mean, he's a jerk, but. he's supposed to be. XD

SOB. I apologize for the wall of text ;; Every HMD I say I'll cut back on the verbiage, but I never do... SO PLEASE HANG ON AND ENDURE AND COMMENT ANYWAY. I'd love to talk to yours more :3 Ping him~ He doesn't say nearly so much in his comments as he does in his posts~

I am very excited about having him in the Irregulars! I thought it was a clever move on my part to set them up in the City again :) I'm looking forward to that being an ongoing subplot just to get characters of all ages interacting and looking at one another more~

Laszlo says this is just because he's more efficient at doing his paperwork than his colleagues. That's why he plays Freecell and on the Network all the time. And so long as he comes across as an amusing jerk, I'm all good :D

Also? THANK YOU :D I will try to keep on doing what I'm doing with all of them!

I don't even think you should cut back, because Cain is tl;dr-- that's just who he is. I just need to plow through and actually communicate. I think Neil is doing another play in October-ish-- will he be in that one? Would be a good excuse to talk.

The more people thrown at Syaoran the better-- it's hard to get him to just talk to random people, but if he has an excuse, it's lovely.

I bet Lazlo's Freecell record is even better than mine.

You're welcome. ♥

Well, yes, but too much tl;dr scares off other players--and I want to play! So if you can plow through, I'd be more than happy to tag with you!

I think Cain is involved in coming up with the story for that play |D Rosella was asking him about it. So, yes, of course he'll be involved in that somehow XD

Awesome--come talk to Holmes, Syaoran! And, hey, he could talk to the other Irregulars too, you know. I'm thinking of doing something where they can all meet one another and know who's on which side.

I know it's got to be better than mine (I always lose, and yet I keep playing...sitting there in the back row of my Information Ethics class...)! Laszlo's a total genius. He's got to win them all. Or something.

♥~

WHY MARTINI TIME? Why not a good Merlot time? Inquiring minds want to know.

On a moar srs note...ILU. Sherlock is so spot on; I really need to start stalking his posts more, because I love seeing how he interacts with people. And a Watson now! GLEEEE! But yes. I love how he interacted with Scully, when she was around, and the thread with Anne was a lot of fun. He played along with her so well. xD

Still tempted to restart my Netflix account early so I can watch M*A*S*H. Martini time plz.

Because the still in the Swamp made gin. Or something like it. And, no, no olives. You have to concede something to the war effort. Especially when you're a mere three miles from the front. Marinis = canon!!

GAW, I AM SO EXCITED TO HAVE A WATSON YOU DO NOT EVEN KNOW! I haven't been posting with him so much as I should have. I owe another post or two to make activity (so I need to get on that).

His voice is a little tricky sometimes. He can be quite derpy socially sometimes, and since most of what we see of him is him in FULL INVESTIGATION MODE it's sometimes harder to think of how he'd act other times. I am doing my best. But I am glad you think he sounds like himself :D That's what I want most. I will try to do my best to keep it up~

Martini time get!

UNDERSTANDING. I HAS IT. But Cuddy wants her olives. No war here, thank you very much.

*NODNODNOD* I'm sure it is! (Also, dude, remind me to send you an adorable Holmes comic when I have access to my laptop. ILIT.)

THEN BRING ON THE OLIVES!! Although, IDK, I think he could go for a good Merlot too. It's all in the company!

(DUDE! I'd love to see it :D I'm all about adorable comics~)

You're an amazing roleplayer, mod, etc. Laszlo is incredible, although I'm still quite curious about his hangup with covalent bonds.

Geez, where to even start? I don't know Cain's canon, but your posts with him never fail to be thoroughly thought-out and articulate. They're a pleasure to read and he's a delight to chat with. Cain was always one of my favorites to throw Carl at; the intellectual, speculative discussions made me happy like you wouldn't believe. I'll still be watching him, even if neither of the characters I'm playing at the moment have anything interesting to say to him.

I know enough Sherlock to say, without too many shadows of doubt (and they're faint shadows, at that) that you're Doing It Right. You're playing one of the most epic characters in the history of ever and doing a fantastic job of it. Your voice is spot-on, and he has that distinct... dated feel. It's impossible to read his entries or comments without encountering little reminders that he's a man out of time ( ... )

Thank you ;3; I am not worthy! Do you really want me to tell you about his hangup? That comes from the character who inspired him. I can tell you, but it's bizarre~

I loved having Cain talk to Carl too--for the same reasons! But, still, I'm glad you enjoy his posts and that they seem consistent with his earlier ones. Don't hesitate to tag him with anyone. He's relentlessly social, in an odd sort of way, and is glad of talking to anyone.

Let me know if those shadows get any bigger! He is an epic, classic character and the very last thing I ever want to do is get him wrong. So don't hesitate to speak up if something's weird. I try to keep myself reviewed on canon (no hardship there), but I do know that sometimes I feel less certain of his voice than others. So thank you thank you thank you for saying I'm doin it right ;3; But, like I said, don't hesitate at all to tell me to go back and think about what I'm doign ( ... )

You are so, and I really, really do! Carl never did puzzle that one out, so please enlighten me? :3

I promise I'll tell you if there's anything off about Sherlock. How you had the courage to app such a well-known character is beyond me; I have a list of characters I would love to play, but the ones from classic literature are kind of intimidating. But yes!

Thank you. ♥

It's so stupid. But, go figure with these bizarre eccentric geniuses.

Basically, he finds it personally offensive that his whole existence (which was built on studies of physics, chemistry, and psychology--and an interdisciplinary combination of the three) and the existence of most worlds should hinge on something so incredibly and stupidly fragile. It's like a great cosmic insult directed right at him--or so he thinks. Yes, he is a little egotistical. But that's all there is to it.

All right, good :) I need other fans to make sure I'm not going off the deep end with him. He deserves to be played right. And, IDK, I just went for it. I know it was a bit of a risk, but I thought, oh, why not? And I went for it. It just took a little courage and a little, "OH JUST POST THE APP!!" And it worked out :) And I hope it'll keep working out.

That's not stupid! It... actually, it kind of makes me a little uncomfortable about existence and the stability of reality. But I can see why he would take this as a personal affront, and he's all the more awesome for having such a strange pet peeve.

I see no reason why it won't! You're a thoroughly convincing Holmes, and I think you would have to put some effort into changing my opinion on the matter.

damn right it's a wild Caru > ) a_silent_due August 28 2009, 14:10:34 UTC
Cain: I think he's kind of the Epic Leader of All Things Epic by now, so you prolly don't need my reminder on that count XD I think you put out posts & tags that are consistently true to the voice you've created for him.

My only "hmmmm" might be that he's lost a bit of his bite - there was a slightly callous, investigative aspect of him in the (especially early) manga, and I'm not seeing it right now. I can't really suggest anything to remedy that (helpful amirite?) because I've actually been here and witnessed the character's organic development and can't find anything wrong with it - so I guess on some level it was just... honestly inevitable. Maybe throw him in a few less domestic plots, if the chance comes by? Sob, LIKE I SAID IDEK.

Sherlock: I can't tl;dr properly, not having reread his canon in a while (MORE OF A POIROT FAN, K?), but I like what I've seen of him. Mebbe throw him around moar, if you can - though we've spoken about Our One True Posting Woe, so I know... your problem isn't voice... but getting yourself to... ( ... )
