Reading: Perdido Street Station for my online book club. I've been semi-curious about this one for a while now, but my only hesitation was that the writer was known for a particularly gritty style, and I'm not always one for pages of descriptions of filth and gore and scatology. I can't believe you will no longer be in the Wendover. Shame that you have to give up the space but hey, you guys seem to be ok with getting cozy. (I think if Bryn and I had less space, we would kill each other. Actually, we might kill each other now, but it might be by accident. It would be on purpose if we had less space. I don't think you are quite so spartan). And at least that's all over and done with now!

Awesome about the story! I can't wait to read it!

It's sad to think that in a few months, nobody will have a view from either the roof on Wendover or the roof OF the Wendover.

But hey, at least the roof on Wendover is technically still accessible by the fire escape?

Also, I think (I hope) moving into a smaller space before moving into a house will provide good impetus for us to go through our stuff thoroughly and decide what we can and can't live with. We are both, unfortunately, pack rats, and at this point if we moved straight from the Wendover into a larger space, I think there would be a strong temptation to shove stuff into boxes that never get unpacked.
