Hiya, I've been trying to figure out the best combo of nature and personality for some of my pokemon and honestly, I'm not sure of what would be best for the strongest pokemon possible (I don't have any of the power items btw

I'm pretty sure that most of the Eeveelutions are Special Attackers, so you might want to go with natures that boost that stat? Then again, my Leafeon seems to favor his attack stats and defense stats. In any case, Vaporeon is a special attacker most definitely.
that's why i'm going with Modest mostly. I just thought using an attack boosting personality would balance it out since Modest boosts Special Attack and lowers Attack.
Blaze, my Flareon that I've been using before i tried for nature/personality, has been just awesome with Rash and hasn't lost a fight yet, even against water types. it was because of him that i started breeding for Sp Attack boosting Natures but since Rash lowers defense and most of the Eeveelutions already have low defense as it is (aside from Umbreon of course) i've been trying to stay away from Natures that lower the Sp Defense or Defense stats.
would it be a better idea to try and boost defense or HP instead of stengthening an already strong stat? (i'm also thinking of future fights with water pokemon where my fire types are concerned, like Ninetales, Charizard, and Arcanine)
Each eeveelution should have a different nature; it's not only what it /boosts/ that matters, but which one also detracts. Modest boosts Satk, but reduces atk - bad for many of them, that have much higher atk stats. Lemme list

so you're saying that i should just boost their strongest stat instead of trying to balance them out or giving them natures that'll boost certain attacks?
for Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon I was gonna go with special attacks mostly.
what would work best for Charizard, Ninetales, and Arcanine?
You want to boost Flareon's attack, Jolteon and Vaporeon's satk ..after a fashion; I can provide a list of their possible moves so you can base their attacks around what they're best at. Atk and Satk aren't the only things one should focus on, unless you don't plan on using them for more than trundling around ingame. Speed and defense aren't as important against the game's characters as opposed to another player

Serebii's pokemon of the week suggests natures to go with certain strategies/movesets. I think they have all the eeveelutions except Leafeon. (There's also the old RSEFRLG version; some of the info there is now outdated but not all of it.)
Generally speaking, you want a nature that raises the pokemon's highest base stat and lowers its worst stat. There's no point in trying to up Jolteon's defense, for example--Jolteon should hit hard and fast as a special sweeper, so it shouldn't be in battle long enough for it to be taking a lot of hits anyway.
I have lots of Thoughts On Eeveelutions, lol. Espeon would benefit from Timid as well.
IMO, Vaporeon makes for one of the best Doubles tanks in the the entire game. He got exploded on in PBR and it tickled. If they're not going to be tanks then Modest or Timid will do.
JMO: Espeon: Modest (in game), Timid (Vs other players) Flareon: Adamant/Jolly Leafeon: Adamant/Jolly Jolteon: Modest/Timid Glaceon: Modest/Timid
