It's giving me a headache trying to figure out at what point time was reset. Maybe they don't remember ever having been sent on their wild goose chase, now *scratches head*

Having spent the best months of my life in Kathmandu some years ago this ....

Kathmandu was a fascinating city in which to be stranded, reeking as it did of history and diesel fumes.
