All flights to Lukla were cancelled but Kathmandu was a fascinating city in which to be stranded, reeking as it did of history and diesel fumes.
Frowning at his tired, fractious colleagues as they rhythmically tapped their luggage, Ianto removed his earphones. He'd borrowed Owen's iPod to escape the bickering, but it wasn't helping.
"Bloody yetis!"
"Mystical Shangri-La" Tosh countered.
"Fucking great! Yetis in Wonderland!"
'…Why don't I sell you my soul? So here it comes, the sound of drums.' The music sounded small and tinny now, no longer hypnotic. Ianto's disquiet deepened.
How quickly could he arrange tickets home?
