AND THEN CAME TEAM ROCKET. Granted, at least they aren't directly attacking the CMA, though there is clearly something going on with one of the smaller mountains on the eastern outskirts of the area

We need to get up to the mountain top! There's too many pokemon being affected to knock them all out like this

Noctowl and Swellow can see them. There's others there already fighting. Lets go and help!

[A few of those Pokemon are getting knocked out; Red, coming from a slightly different direction, is fighting a swath through the Pokemon with Espeon and Charizard. He's a bit confused at their falling asleep at his feet.]

[Have a surprised look before Ash's shiny noctowl sweeps down to put more pokemon to sleep. Pikachu's joining the fray now that there are too many pokemon for Noctowl to deal with alone. Thunderbolt here! Thunderbolt there!]

[Espeon joins with Pikachu before Red even commands it to, so Red shrugs and changes course, directing Charizard to clear the area ahead with Fire Spin. He just gives Ash a quick glance.]
