Mar 18, 2011 21:10

[As spring is swiftly arriving to Awesome Island, Paul is finally letting his month-old Mienfoo go out and seek out some wild Pokemon to battle in order to raise her level and experience... and because Mienfoo has reeeeeally wanted to fight stuff since the moment she hatched from the egg. Somewhere down the line, it appears Mienfoo has learned a ( Read more... )

[The kind of place where kids can fish up Dragonites if they're in the wrong or right place.

Hi, little Mienfoo. A cousin has been drawn over by your cries.]

Mie?

[...someone sure has been enthusiastic today.]

[Another of her kind~! Mienfoo's ecstatic! And Paul has taken notice to the new one making itself present, so he pays close attention to their interactions.

Mienfoo bounds over to her fellow species after knocking out another poor Rattata who didn't stand a chance at all.]

Mieee~!

[She hopes this is a new challenge for her!]

Mii!

[This Mienfoo smiles as it greets the other. It sees her trainer and takes a fighting stance, just in case, but its expression is still friendly.]

Mien?

[Your training seems to be going well! Perhaps a bit too well.]

[The fighting stance just encourages her all the more. Paul's looking wary, since the other one doesn't seem to be a pathetic Rattata-leveled Pokemon.]

Don't get in over your head, Mienfoo.

[Mienfoo ignores her trainer! What does he know, anyway.]

Foo! Fooo~

[There's no such thing as too well! I am the most awesome Mienfoo ever!]

[...That's one way to train indeed. Jackie's just looking to the slaughterfest of fainted Pokemon around her while Leviathan gets to work on reviving some of them. A mother's work is never done...

Jackie manages to find Paul looking over his Pokedex, faintly hearing the word 'Acrobatics'. Wellll, that explains that...] You must have never been to Unova. Mienfoo are known for some hella high attacking abilities...no surprise this one managed to take out as many as it did!

[Oh? A new face. It's been a while since Paul's seen someone unfamiliar on the island and wasn't a double of someone he knew beforehand. Still, she does assume correctly.]

... Evidently... and no, I've never been to Unova.

We don't get outsiders that often, if you wanna know the honest truth. Still, it's a good place to train in. [Well, what with the Pokemon PETA out of business now, but we digress.]

What level is the little one? Looks a little young, but if he's already kicking this many Pokemon down to the dirt... [She's definitely got the potential to be a real ass kicker. Damn, little one.]

Last I checked, she was level five, but...

[Obviously higher now if she was able to take out half the population of the island's rodents.]

[so we were totally hiding after being effectually kicked away from seeing Reggie... and we'd done such a good job of not running into you until now.

And we techincally don't see you just yet, being very focused on taking some pictures of this little genocide with our camera-- oh and scanning that death machine with our dex. Finally, something from Unova. He should try to catch it--]

[Paul's too busy checking out the schematics to Acrobatics to notice his Unovan doppelganger in the vicinity, but Mienfoo takes notice, and she makes a mighty leap right before Trip. She smells a trainer with more Pokemon for her to beat up!]

[it wants to fight? So be it... He'll toss out his starter, the Snivy still not managing to evolve even though Trip thought all the training it was getting should be causing it to by now. He had been focusing on his water-type though, and walking his egg around when the others were too tired to continue training.]

Snivy, start with Growth. [oh if only we knew that move it was trying out was flying type]]

[Just as Paul looks up and notices his Mienfoo has wandered off, he quickly finds her just as she's doing ACROBATICS on Trip's Snivy, which is almost surely an OHKO!]

*Yeah, Lucas here is just gonna chuckle a bit. Thought it's less at Paul and more at his reaction.*

You must not be from Unova, then.

[Unfamiliar kid? That's getting less common these days for him. Still, he'll just scoff.]

Obviously.

*He'll still smile.* Do you have any questions related to Unovian Pokémon? I'm sure I can answer them to the best of my ability.

*...Would now be a bad time to note that the kid has white wings on his back? Because the kid has white wings on his back.*

[... okay yeah. Those are a bit jarring. Yet Paul has been on the island for almost two years now, and thus...]

You're another Pokemon with a human form?
